We are an independent, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to making a positive contribution to St. Louis and Eastern Missouri inpatient and community-based mental health services. Our vision is that individuals committed to the criminal justice system because of behavior resulting from their severe mental illness may receive therapy and training sufficient to allow them to regain the respect of their associates, re-enter their community of family and friends, and serve as productive citizens of our communities.
Thank you for visiting our website and learning more about our work.
Helping Hands was established to utilize the unique talents and skills of its board of directors and community volunteers to promote the welfare and advance the recovery of clients of the two campuses of the St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center (FTC). We do this by planning and implementing an array of fundraising activities to support client and staff activity and help underwrite innovative research-based therapeutic services.
Helping Hands also advises FTC of means by which it may sustain and improve its relationship with the surrounding community and contribute to the welfare of its citizenry.
